Pitch Widener

Overview

Ever notice how most stereo wideners either sound like garbage or just phase-cancel your mix to hell? Yeah, me too. So I built this instead.

Pitch Widener uses dual micro-pitch shifting with Haas delay to create genuine stereo width without destroying your low end or making everything sound like it is underwater. It splits your signal into two layers, shifts one up and one down by a few cents, then uses carefully timed delays to spread them across the stereo field. The result is width that sounds natural, not like you just slapped a chorus on everything.

Most wideners just mess with phase or use basic delay tricks. This one actually pitch-shifts in opposite directions per channel, creating real harmonic separation. Oh, and there is a vectorscope with CRT-style phosphor trails and scanlines, because why not make it look cool too. Works great on synths, pads, vocals, guitars and drums, basically anything you want to sound bigger without losing definition.
